Dr. Chris Yamada's Bio:

Dr. Chris Yamada graduated from Punahou School, then attended Indiana University, and the Indiana University School of Dentistry, where he earned his D.D.S. degree.

Following his four years of dental school, Dr. Yamada received three additional years of specialized Pediatric Dentistry training and a Master's Degree in Pediatric Dentistry from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, where he completed his Thesis in Dental Genetics.

He has served as an author for the Hawaii Dental Journal, and was the President of the Honolulu Dental Society in 2007. In 2009, 2010, and 2011 he was voted by his peers as one of Hawaii's Best Dentists in Honolulu Magazine.

Dr. Chris' Message:

We're all here because we love children and we want to be there for them as they grow.

Given the choice of a specialty in Dental School, I was immediately drawn to Children's Dentistry. Every month I found myself counting the days until my rotation in the Pediatric Clinic. I enjoyed the energy, the innocence, and the endless potential evident in all the pediatric dental patients we treated. I also learned to embrace the responsibility of effectively and patiently managing the fears and safety of every apprehensive child we cared for.

I'm proud to say we've assembled a friendly, fun, gentle staff here at Diamond Head Children's Dentistry that shares a collective enthusiasm and compassion for caring for your children. Our staff members have been professionally trained, and are experts in helping your child feel safe, comfortable, and calm.

We are committed to using a kind and caring approach, and to working in close contact with parents to make sure all our dear child patients receive the very best dental experience possible.

My staff and I strive daily to create a fun and caring environment for all children and their parents. We absolutely love what we do, and feel blessed to be able to have a positive impact on children's lives.
